Windows 7 Official Feedback Panel

Anyone else send an email and get accepted into this program? It was in the fine print on the Win7 Technet newsletters they sent 10days ago. I just got an invite and signed up after taking a 20min survey and downloading the panel program.

My question is they offered a free gift of Vista Ultimate or Office 2007 Ultimate and was wondering if the Vista offering was placeholder from the old program. It would make sense if they gave us Windows 7 copy since that's what we're testing.

A few days ago you indicated that you would be interested in giving feedback to Microsoft on the Windows 7 pre-release operating system. Today we are inviting new members for our feedback panel and would like to offer you the opportunity to participate.

This email is an invitation for you to join the Windows Feedback Program which allows you to connect with the Windows product team. We would like your help in better understanding how you use your PC. Your participation in this program influences future versions of Windows.
We offer two programs:
� Automated feedback program
� Survey feedback program

If you agree to join the Automated Feedback Program, you will be part of a long term study where data will be collected using the Windows Feedback Program software. That data will be sent to Microsoft so we can monitor how your computer is working and better understand how you are using Windows and Office. Users who successfully send data for at least three months are offered their choice of a free copy of Windows Vista or Microsoft Office in appreciation of their help.

If you join the Survey Feedback Program, you will be invited to take a survey on a regular basis. You will usually receive no more than two surveys a month. For each completed survey, users will receive one entry into a sweepstakes to win one of five $100 cash prizes.

• The automated feedback program is currently open to Windows 7 pre-release operating system users only.

That was the invitation. The email to enroll was [email protected] although they said it was limited to the first 500 IT pro's. Not sure if that just hot air since I sent mine in a day later and still got in.

I have been sending Feedback to Windows Feedback for 4+ years. No e-mail invite though. I sent them an e-mail anyway. We will see what happens.
