I have a very odd problem that I really need help with. After upgrading several components of my PC, my Windows 7 Home Premium needs reactivation. Unfortunately since it would appear that I've used up my 'available' activations I need to do the phone activation method.

Everything is ok until I get the installation ID. If you check the attachment you'll see that it is cut off and I can't see the 9th set of numbers. Therefore I can't phone activate.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

It was going so nicely till it got to 'contacting' tech support stage. Its as if no one is in and the phone keeps ringing (Was forwarded there from the phone activation help.)

If I can just figure out why I can't see the 9th set of numbers, I'd manage the rest just fine. Can't imagine why it's doing this.

Alas I already considered that and tried it. The problem of menu cut off is still there regardless of monitor rez.

Try DPI, that will solve it, I hope.

The phone activation system asks for 9 sets, and if it wasn't because of the black markings I placed to cover the numbers, the cut of would be far clearer, it partially cuts off a number.

The DPI should work, did you try that. Not the same as resolution.

I've tried every combination of DPI and resolution but none of them actually change the font size in comparison to the window size, so its always cut.

Well the problem was solved. Apparently after an hour with the an incredibly helpful technician, the problem was due to a my ATI XFX 5770 graphics driver. He had no idea why it was the cause but it stopped the windows activation.

Solution is solved and a bit of extra info for everyone. It could be something completely unrelated to what you're trying to do! :)
