I have just finished building a new computer. It is an intel 7 processor on an azus motherboard with 16 gig ram, 128 gig ssd, 3tb hard drive and 2gig azus video. Nothing on either drive as of now.

What I want to do but am not sure how is to use new windows pro 7 64 bit cd and install it on ssd. Then take 2tb hard drive from old windows 7 pro computer and use it to use my already installed programs. Is this possible?

Problem is that I already have windows 7 installed with the other programs on the old disk I don't want to have to find all of the programs and reinstall if possible. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated....

You`re gonna have to reinstall the programs from the ssd.

You could explore the hard drive to see if there are any executable icons for your programs.

OK, I'm not telling it correctly. There is nothing now on the ssd or the new hd. I was planning on installing windows 7 pro 64bit on the ssd. then bring in the old hd and try and use the programs that are on it with the new machine. Is this possible? Also can I take or delete windows 7 from the old hd so it doesn't interfere with the new windows on the ssd?

If you uninstall or delete the Windows installation on your old disk none of the programs that are installed on that disc will run. They need the Windows system to work, so bite the bullet and re install all your programs on the new machine. They no need go on the SSD you can install them onto the new HD. You will probably find that you have some programs installed that you don't need so a good chance to have a major tidy up!
