Windows 7 Pro. question!

Hello,

I was just wondering if someone could answer a few questions for me? I was reading about upgrading my "Vista: Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional, but I had a few more questions. This site said I could use an upgrade CD to get to Windows 7 Professional from Vista Home Premium but it said you would have to do a clean install; which is fine with me. But I ran into some questions when I was running the upgrade adviser on my PC. It said I could only upgrade to Windows 7 Home or Ultimate, and nothing else. Was this just referring to upgrades and not complete clean installs or is my PC not able to directly upgrade to Professional.

correct me if im wrong but

Don't go doing a custom do an upgrade if you can upgrade to it you can check if you can upgrade by this link

and just download it and run a check once downloaded simple so if you can upgrade to lets say pro just click say pro on the setup and then do a upgrade

yooyoo Sly isUR Silver i have a hp computer had vista home premium on the setup i did an upgrade and it was fine so do an upgrade or check this other link out Windows® 7 Upgrade Option Program from HP - Order/Check Status or if you've bought windows 7 do as i said setup home premium and then do upgrade and leave it

Never, ever, for any reason, do an upgrade from any version of Windows to another. The potential for trouble is extremely high.
