If you burned your own DVD
Burn at 1x or 2x speeds, then run a crc check utility to prevent the problem. If you are using a store bought DVD, dont know what to suggest.

Hello Janu, welcome to Seven Forums!

Let's start here.

If the Windows 7 install disk is one you burned yourself it may be a bad burn and needs to be done again, if so this would be the first thing to try.

Use the free ISO burner at the link below to burn another at a speed of now more than 4x and select to let the program to verify the disk before it finishes.

ImgBurn Free ISO Burner

You need to put the BIOS back to default and try the install again, forget about RAID, it's more trouble than it's worth.

You only have a single Hard drive so you do not have RAID so forget that.
You have a Sata Hard drive and windows 7 will install a generic sata driver that should work.
Your hard drive is not the problem, the problem is that windows cannot read the install disk, try copying it to a thumb drive or another DVD and install with that.
You could also try cleaning the Laser in your DVD drive and also cleaning the Install DVD

That's because XPired is too old to have the modern SATA drivers needed to detect your HD - you'd have to slipstream them in.

Did you reset BIOS to defaults before trying WIn7 install? Do you have a single SATA HD and is it correctly detected in BIOS setup? If this is the case and you already tried AHCI setting, then try IDE mode. What are the other available settings for SATA controller?

@ gregrocker...the options avaialbe are ATI ,AHCI and restore to factory settings AHCI mode...i tried ATI but it did nt work..I think initially it had AHCI it does not have IDE ....and i do have a single SATA HD....If i were to slipstream em ..how should i do it....help me i really appreciate it...

Forget XP it's outdated.
Go into bios and see if the hard drive is recognized there.

It does seem to be that the DVD Player is not reading the disk correctly.
Have you tried my advice in post#10 above?
