Windows 7 Problem - Restart after "Install" button :(

So... the problem is, when I try to install Win 7, the installer keeps restarting, when I press the Install button at the beginning.

The version is 7600 RTM, x86.

My prev OS is Win XP x86, but i want to do a full format-> install, so dunno if this matters...


Can somebody help me? My old OS is on its last days, you know, tons of BSODs, slowdows, error windows So it would be really great if I could finally do a reinstall.

We need more information b4 we can decide where the problem is..
1) Fill out your system specs
2) Are you installing from a disk, or directly from extracted files

From disk. Ive got only one disc drive

specs:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+
Geforce 8500GT 512MB
2 GB Ram

Ok, tried something out:
When there is the install button, you can click on "repair your pc" too

If I click on it, it starts loading something for a couple seconds, then restarts, just like before

I just dont get it... I already installed it to another PC, and it was working perfectly. Got it up in 15 minutes.

But with this computer, just to load up the first screen (where you choose the language) takes up 6-7 minutes.

They are located in your user control panel. what we need is make model, ram, video card, OS (32 bit or 64), etc. we also need where you got your ISO how you burned it. specifically what happens etc. we cant help you if you dont help yourself

specs:

ISO is from torrent, burned with Nero 8, 8x speed (the disc is working)

Your processors are 64bit, so I would start by getting the 64bit version of Win7. If you are going to burn it to a DVD, burn it at 4x if possible. If you prefer, extract it to a spare drive/partition or thumb drive and run the setup.exe program from there.

From the way you describe your problem, and the fact that it always happens at the same point of the install, that you have a bad disk. I would suggest extracting the files and install it that way. I have used this method for years with no problems.

Nero 8 may well be your problem and burning at a slower speed may also help.

Windows 7 is very sensitive about the Memory while installing! Special on older systems!

I had similar problems a few times and all times it were because of the memory.

Try to first to clean the Feets of the memory banks with an pencil rubber! Secondly use only 1 bank and try to install. if that didn't works, change that bank and so on. That's just to find out it's a compatibility problem with the memory and Win7!

The disk is 100% working, because I already used it once to install it on my PC. (the problem is with another computer, its not mine... thats why I dont really know the specs... )
