Kyle there is so much more info we need.

What lags?
What does it say in event viewer?
do you get BSOD's?
what version of net framework?
what version of win 7 (ultimate, pro, etc)?

Thats just to start

BTW

There are several ways to find what the problem is. The best is to go into event viewer (type eventvwr in search). Go to the windows log>application tab.

You want to look for critical errors (they have red in the left column ).

When you find them you want to look for critical errors that say app hang, app crash, or anything that relates to the problem.

When you find them please note the event ID, and the source codes and tell us what they are.

Let us know if you need help with any of this.

Ken

If you have really loaded Windows 7 30 times I would say you have a hardware issue or a bad hard drive. Have you tried replacing the hard drive, removing all extra hardware?

I know this is a frustrating experience been through it a few times myself, but in my last post I asked you

Kyle there is so much more info we need.

What lags?
What does it say in event viewer?
do you get BSOD's?
what version of net framework?

And that is just to start. I asked several questions just to get started.

I would truely like to help but cant just pull a rabbit out of my hat.

I suspect you are experiencing an app hang but without the answers dont know

I had this exact issue a few months ago, slow, lag, freeze, crash. Turned out to be a bad drive. Have you tried a different HDD?

Please, I know this is frustrating, it took me quite a long time to work out Windows Vista to get it to run very smoothly, and I'm working on windows 7 now. Please just take some time, slow down, read your posts and the responses to them. Check your posts for spelling errors, as we have to read what you are writing. Check that you have tried to answer or at least address our questions to you, as that is how we can help you the best.

We aren't looking at your machine ourselves, so it is hard for us to determine what is wrong without being able to see what is going on.

I forked over the cash and got a new hard drive, clean install, then since have been dealing with minor issues cropping up, such as GT220 graphics card support, sleep settings, etc...

Newegg.com - Western Digital AV-25 WD3200BUDT 320GB 5400 RPM 32MB Cache 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal AV Hard Drive -

A new drive is not very expensive these days, comparatively. I remember having to fork over like $200 bucks in 2000 for a good hard drive.

Hard drives can go bad for many reasons. Heat, shock, general wear, faulty this, out of specifications that... It sucks when it happens, but it's even more likely in a laptop, in my experiences.

Respectfully that is a slow drive for the money at 5400 RPM I would spend the extra and go with:

I will advise against Seagate based upon my personal experiences with the company. I've had too many drives fail, and they have been... less than friendly...

However, upgrading from a 5400 RPM drive, like the one you have, to a 7200 RPM drive, you will see a drop in battery life, as well as the drive I linked you to has 4x the cache of the one you already have.

Let's run some tests with freeware to see if your hardware is good: type "dev" in Start Searh box, open Device Manager, look at Disk Drives, google the long serial string. This will tell you what HD make you have. Then find the HD maker on this list and download the HD diagnostics to burn to CD: Hard Drive Diagnostics Tools and Utilities (Storage) - TACKtech Corp.
Double click on the ISO file and Windows Image Burner will burn it to CD. Now reboot computer and run the full diagnostics scan. Copy down what it reports and post back.

Next download and burn to CD the same way memtest86, run test for 5-6 passes or overnight. Post back what it reports. Memtest86 - Download Page

Check for infection now by downloading and installing Malwarebytes, update and run Full Scan: http://www.malwarebytes.org/ Then install MS Security Essentials which is the best free AV: http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/

Go back to the Event Viewer>Admin View and google the repeat Critical and Errors. Google some of the text and ID# to find out how others have solved the errors. This is how you learn about your computer and troubleshoot its problems. When you see a pattern of repeat errors, post back their text and ID# here too and we can help you easier since you'll already know more about them.

Next go Start>rightclick Computer>Properties, click on WEI score link, at top of Advanced Tools page look for cued issues to resolve. Then google repeat errors in Performance log and Generate a System Health Report. Look for problems it reports.

Type "Prob" in start Search box, View solutions to problems found that have been already sent to MS which you may not know about. These are sometimes also cued in the Action center with the flag in the bottom right system tray.

Next run http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html

There is no reason to reinstall again. You should run a http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/3413-repair-install.html?ltr=R instead, unless you haven't tried wiping your HD yet. if not, then you can consider one last reinstall to overwrite any possibly infected or bad code using this method first: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/91339-ssd-hdd-optimize-windows-reinstallation.html

Don't become discouraged, this may be one of the best learning experiences you have in life and you will end up knowing so much more about your computer you'll be able to help others.
