Windows 7 programs don't start

Hi, I'm new here!

I have a problem with my Windows 7. I bought a laptop in January and until yesterday it worked fine. All of a sudden, it wouldn't close my tabs in Firefox.
Then it wouldn't open VLC Media Player, games, ... nothing. Not even the Configuration. The loading symbol comes on, then just goes away and nothing happens. When something does open, it's very slow and stops working.
I get white shapes when these things happen (even with the Start Menu).

In Safe Mode everything works fine.

I have tried scanning with Avast, Malwarebytes, Microsoft Security Essentials and CClean. Soms files were deleted, and now the scans come up clean.

Does anyone have an idea how this problem is caused and how I can fix it?

Thanks!

Try a System Restore to a time prior to the beginning of the problem.

You have system restore points. Win 7 created them. Only by using one of those wonder programs to speed up your computer, etc can you not have restore points.

Use this procedure please:
RESTORE TO A PREVIOUS SYSTEM RESTORE POINT
1) WIN | type SYSTEM RESTORE | ENTER | NEXT
|Choose a different restore point radio button
| NEXT

2) Show more restore points checkbox (lower left)

3) Highlight the desired restore point

4) Scan for affected programs (lower right)make a note of affected programs
5) CLOSE | NEXT | FINISH

WIN = key with the wavy Microsoft flag on top.
