Windows 7 Refresh

I have a problem.When I save a file to desktop (.jpg,.avi etc (or any folder))
I doesn't appear to desktop then when I click refresh it appears.
Why I must click refresh why it doesn't appear automaticaly?
I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit SP1 RC

Unfortunately, there seems to be no clear and confirmed fix for this issue. I run Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit and this same problem comes and goes from time to time. I posted on this forum about this issue and searched extensively online for a solution, but so far no fix has been found.
