Windows 7 repair disk

Hi everyone. today i found that my windows 7 64 bit ultimate os was unable to boot. after many restart finally i used my system repair disk. disk did work and i m able to boot now. but can anyone give me some insight about what went wrong in the first place. just dont want this type of problem in the future. plz everyone give some advice...............

Hello gautam7 That could easily be from several causes like a device driver loading sideways or some of the usual boot information being lost.

The automatic startup repair tool examines what the problem is and will fix it if it's nothing too severe. The thing for you to look at was what was the last thing you were running or had just installed before the problem was first seen. Often that's the best clue to finding the actual cause.

well this rings a bell because i installed SRS audio sondbox. that could probably the cause. and after reboot my audio was not available untill i changed the setting of SRS audio sondbox. thanks night hawk for your time. bye hv a great day.
