Solved Windows 7 Restarts Randomly When Using Netflix

There are two drivers related to the CPU; the other appeared in driver verifier. From what I read, the AmdK8 driver controls a function called "cool and quiet," which is related to the fan speed I think (if it's not working, that tells me the hardware must be going dead). The other driver (the name slips my mind) I didn't turn off because it was present in safe mode, so I think that's the primary driver for communicating with the CPU.

You can't download it from AMD because it's loaded from the Windows 7 OS. It might be able to update, but I'll have to check.

Again, thanks you guys for pitching in. :) It really helped me stay optimistic about the issue. For a bit, I was afraid it would be a dead end. x(

Ahhh, OK. I have Cool'n'Quiet too, but is enabled through my BIOS settings. It adjusts the CPU fan speed based on CPU temps and loads.
