I had this issue with the win7 beta and the RC. and with both i ended up just going back to vista hoping it would be figured out by RTM. The issue i have is.....

I can be typing anything really and all the sudden the cursor will just move somewhere within the sentence i am typing in. It gets very annoying and i cannot figure out why its doing that or how to fix it.

If it makes any difference i have a dell m1530 laptop.... and NO my palm isint hitting the mouse pad and causing it to move.

yeah its not a malicious version its wzor's. It happened on the RC and the beta builds straight from MS as well. i will try to install the trackpad alps crap and reboot. I wouldnt see why that would be it as i didnt have it installed on vista however i will give it a shot.

Dell's laptop driver's are flaky at best. I have had good luck on my M4400 and also my old D800 reloading them in vista mode.

so you installed the trackpad drivers in win7 while in vista compatability mode? the driver seemed to install fine but i went to bed so i have not had a chance to check it out from a reboot yet. The driver for the ALPS trackpad is from 2007. Dells site did not have anything more recent.
