Solved Windows 7 Saved Searches: Doesn't Show Recently Add Files

I recently stumbled upon saved searches in Windows 7, and while they're great, I can't seem to get newly added files to show up in the saved search results. An example:

I have 1 folder where I store EVERYTHING, no subfolders whatsoever. Inside this folder, I saved a search for "music". A few days later, I decided to add a new file with "music" in the title, but this new file doesn't appear in my saved search for "music". I tested this with a folder that had music in the title as well, but no luck.

According to http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/37717-save-search.html, these saved searches should show the most recent results, so I'm a little baffled.

Anyone? I've double checked to make sure this wasn't a user error on my part, and it doesn't seem to be.

Have you tried rebuilding the search index?

I rebuilt it just the other day actually, but I'll do so again and report back.

Edit: Thanks, this seems to have fixed it. Not sure why it fixed it, though.
