Having an issue with shut down. Fresh install and Sp1 loaded, Bios updated, When i choose to shut down, it shuts down but in a blink on an eye it restarts. there is no log file, no errors, I can disable the lan (cat 5) at boot up in the bios and the problem is solved but now i have no internet.

When the system is running go into System Properties, Advanced Tab, Click the Settings button in Startup and Recovery, and uncheck Automatically restart.

It sounds like the system is crashing on shutdown and issues the Auto restart command because if this.

With that option unchecked you will see the crash report.

Hope that helps.
