Windows 7 Shutdown Problem

Whenever I try to shutdown my laptop it freezes as soon as it says 'Logging Off'. Sometimes it gets past that but when it does it says 'Shutting Down' until my laptop gets the blue screen.

Anyone know has to help :sarc:

Freezes for how long?

By blue screen, do you mean the Blue Screen of Death? See if it generated a bugcheck report and post it up using this tool: Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions - Windows 7 Forums

it freezes forever at the Logging Off screen until i turn it off by holding the power button. and yes i meant the blue screen of death
