Recently my girlfriend upgraded her computer from Vista to Windows 7. Previously on vista we have video chatted on skype many times without fail(she's going to college 2 hours away) but recently since upgrading we tried to skype earlier today and her computer wasnt putting out any sound. We could both see each other but i couldnt hear her(she could hear me just fine though.) We also experienced quite a few lost connections in row before we gave up all together on trying to video chat. She had to reinstall skype when she upgraded so im fairy sure she has the newest version. Has anyone else experienced anything like this with upgrading to W7? Any ideas on whats going on? She has a Toshiba laptop. Hope i provided enough info to diagnos the problem. Thanks for all your help!

Hi and welcome

First thing I wouold look at is the sound driver on both machines. they are different so when she upgrade win 7 probably didnt install the correct one.

She should. find out what sound card by typing dxdiag in search. after she knows go to the mfr website and download the driver for her machine. Install it re-boot and see what happens.

Good Luck
