Well I'm new on the forum so to start hello everyone. Now to the question at hand, my tower has an EVGA 780i motherboard with 2 8800 GT Graphics cards in SLI. Will the motherboard and sli drivers work on Windows 7 :sarc: ?

They should. I have a 680i and two 8800GTS and am running sli in Windows 7 RC. I didn't install any motherboard drivers from nvidia yet. The drivers for the video from nvidia work.

Hello Adam and welcome to Windows 7 forums. I have an MSI 680i Motherboard and two 8800 GT graphic cards running In SLI. I have had no issues running any of Nvidias forceware drivers. They should work just as well on your motherboard.

Yep I installed the drivers for them. Appears EVGA already has dedicated drivers for the GFX Cards but not the motherboard. I installed the vista version for the motherboard and its working as if it were on XP. Everything is flawless, diggin Windows 7 RC :D

I have been trying to get my Asus P5n-d with 2 9800gts to run in SLI. [Win 7RC 7100] The problem is when I go to Nview and enable sli and apply it I get a " message that some programs need to close do you wan to close them". If I click yes then it closes Nview and then it resets my resolution to 800x600 with a max of 1024x780 and not full screen I get a 2in boarder around my 23in Hp Flat screen. I have looked every where for and answer for why this happens and have posted on many forums with no progress. Would you explain which driver you are using since the 9800 is basicaly a repackaged 8800 and also the steps you took to enable SLI. I know this seems like a very basic function but I can't for the life of me get SLI to work in Win7. Thanks. fabe

Have you resolved this issue as yet? I'm having this exact problem, we've got the following thread
http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=108847

I'm currently awaiting Nvidia support to get back to me but I think this is a huge problem and is not going to be resolved quickly

Getting pushed over by nvidia.

Bump!!!. Please someone help with this issue. I also have the same issue. Dual 8800gt won't sli in Win 7 Pro properly. When I do, I lose nvidia control panel functionalitly and I'm stuck at 800x600 res. It worked fine in xp32bit.
I've tried using earlier and latest and even beta drivers to no avail.
The only way to reverse being stuck in sli 800x600 resolution is to completely uninstall the nvidia driver and then reinstall and not enable sli anymore. I've tried disabling physx before enabling sli to no avail.

Note: This was also happening to me when I used Windows 7 RC. People then tried to shut me up saying I can't expect RC to support sli at the time so nobody helped then. It isn't working now because it wasn't resolved then. Most of my sli friends aren't switching to win7 because of this.

However, I am using a dvi to hdmi cable (when using my 1080p plasma tv). I will try to use either screen with regular dvi and also vga cable then report back. I suspect it's compatability issues with DVI according to nvidia driver release notes.

Looking to fix my SLI issue in Windows 7 Pro still.
Trying to resolve bluetooth kb issue. It's not the OS or KB.
RESOLVED -Thousands of nvidia owners may rejoice in SLI

UPDATE: Finally after hours of tweaking I've resolved this issue. Please pass it on to support groups.

In short, UPDATE 8800GT FIRMWARE BIOS one card installed at a time. The exe is quick.

In Detail, with only one video card in at a time, update the bios to the latest firmware update for the video card. Shutdown, remove card and insert other card and repeat.
It's a simple .exe from the video card manufacturer website (BFGtech.com in my situation).
I had trouble updating one card for unkown reasons it wouldn't update. After 11 repeated attempts using the firmware bios exe it accepted the bios update. Strange indeed, however it finally did work. It said something about unable to read memory xxx. (11 tries due to anger and coffee overload ).
I shut down the pc after removing the nvidia display drivers. I then inserted the 2nd card and attached all connectors and booted up. Windows installed standard nvidia drivers. I then downloaded and used latest BETA drivers 195.62 released this day. Enabled sli and voila, it stayed in 1920x1080p on my shiny new 58" panasonic viera plasma. :D. :p using DVI -> HDMI cable.

Note: i tried using hdtv component connector which came with the 8800gt but it didn't give me 1080p, only 1080i/720p. I didn't need it anyway.
I also tried using 195.62 drivers before doing the 8800gt card bios upgrade, but I still had same issue of video drivers corrupting and stuck at 800x600 resolution.

So it's the firmware that did the trick for me. Hopefully, everyone else has the same success as me.
Oh, the link for bios upgrade for my BFG 8800gt OC is:

http://www.bfgtech.com//CMDocs/BFGTech/88512GTOCE%20BIOS%20Update%201F.00.18.zip

note: nvidia website will not have firmware update, so be sure to go to your card manufacturer website.

Trying to resolve bluetooth kb issue. It's not the OS or KB.
I spent all night trying to get this to work; couldn't find a BIOS update for one of my cards (EVGA 8800GT), but I did eventually get it work. Here is the fix that I found elsewhere (can't remember where and can't find it in history, sorry): Roll back your onboard Realtek LAN port drivers.

No idea why this worked for me, but nothing else would. I tried reinstalling the Nvidia drivers several times, reboots, swapping PCIE slots, and nothing worked. Every time when I enabled SLI, it would drop down to 800x600 resolution and Nvidia control panel would disappear. When I would go look at the Device Manager one or both cards had exclamation points. Finally I found a post on a forum that said rolling back the Realtek NIC drivers worked for him, so I tried it and now I'm playing in SLI. I rebooted and it stayed in SLI - no BSOD's or crashes. I can play Crysis on Very High now; same thing with World in Conflict.

Good luck to everyone, hope this helps.
