I have several older computers (both 32 bit and 64 bit) for which I have restorable Win7 Ultimate images--made via Acronis True Image. The image files are badly out of date (meaning they lack a significant number of Windows updates). I don't have time to undertake restoration of the images; installation of the available critical updates; and installation of the SP1's now.

I want to download the needed SP-1's using Windows Downloads SP1--both 32 bit and 64 bit. I am not sure which file(s) I need to download using this link. All help on this matter greatly appreciated.

You will most likely want to download the last two files in that list.

The 3rd one from the bottom is for the Itanium CPU. I doubt that you have one of those :-)

You would need to restore the 64 bit acronis image , then download and run windows6.1-KB976932-X64.exe

Same with 32 bit image, download and run windows6.1-KB976932-X86.exe

Those are the bootom two links on Download Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 (KB976932) from Official Microsoft Download Center

Run the cleanup afterwards, and then get the post sp1 updates via windows update. It will take a while.

Ther is a tutorial here somewhere http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/122262-windows-7-sp1-disk-cleanup-tool.html
