ok guys i have this problems for like 3-4 months now and every time i start up the laptop it gets to the welcome screen and then after that its just a black screen. it takes around 5 mins to start up and the desktop to appear or i can end explorer.exe and start it up. I also notices that runonce.exe and launcher.exe start up when the desktop is about to pop up. here's a pic

Some ideas come to mind...

First, run malwarebytes and your virus scanner

Second, check your startup in msconfig for anything unusual

Third, is there anything you tried to install that never completed installation?

Try these and get back to us.

I strongly support the second suggestion by Lemur. Just uncheck runonce.exe, launcher.exe and any other unwanted programs listed in the Startup Page and try restarting again.

There is an excellent shareware program named "Tuneup Utilities 2012" that very nicely controls the Startup Programs and does much else besides. You might like to invest in that.

There is no reason to use a tweaking suite which causes a lot of the problems we solve here. Enter msconfig>Startup and uncheck everything except your AV. After a reboot, enter msconfig>Services, check the box to Hide All MS Services, then do the same. Reboot again to see if anything writes itself back in and turn it off in its Program preferences or Uninstall it in Control Panel.

Follow Lemur's advice to install and run a full scan with Malwarebytes.
Replace any bloatware AV with Microsoft Security Essentials for best performance.

Then work through the rest of these troubleshooting step.

Simply add ONE service at a time, then reboot. It's a process of elimination. Sounds like you are already most of the way there. This is good news! Let us know what you find.

Do you use some wallpaper downloader / changer application ? launcher and runonce processes are generated from such programs. Usually those processes are safe, but you may try disabling them ans see if the situation is changed or not.

For the rest, follow the advises you have already got, and dont use any tweaker program .

Okay, there is a faster way to speed things up. Check 50% of the services. If it passes, you have eliminated half, and can try the other 50%. If you get a positive, examine half of that. Much fast elimination process.

**EDIT ** and are you still using apache and mysql? You can run MSE instead of Avast. And what the heck is this process "gwtixxrhzfblno"?

No need to add any back. You've seen the benefits of a Clean Boot which is the best way to run your System.

The decision to add a Startup program should be made fresh when you have a program you absolutely need to startup with Windows, not working from some list of freeloaders that snuck in previously and you've booted out for good reason.

And keep an eye on those two msconfig tabs as the little buggers are sneaky.

Yes it would stop lots of unneeded programs/services from starting up with Windows and leeching CPU cycles, RAM, Startup Time, in addition to often spying on you to collect consumer data.

At most if you have factory preinstalled Windows you might have to turn off the wireless crapware they add to replace Win7's superior version. That's right, in addition to ganging up all of these unneeded utilties on top of Win7, they also replace Win7's own native versions with bloated crapware. This is why at the minimum on a factory preinstall one should Clean up factory bloatware if not Reinstall Windows 7
so it is unleashed in it's native feather-light, instantaneous state.

It's your property to do what you want with.
