When my Windows 7 boots it does the Vista boot instead. I've watched the Windows 7 startups on youtube and they have the proper boot. How can I change this?

Only two reasons I can think of:

Did you do an upgrade or a clean install?
Do you still have Vista on your machine?

The vista boot?

He/she means instead of the swirly butterfly bootlogo Windows 7 has he/she gets the Vista one.

Get one of the EasyBCD betas and have it re-write your MBR if you want the butterfly effect thingy back.

Quick and simple fix. I've had this before (on purpose for various reasons).

Copy and paste this in Command Prompt (running as admin of course):
Code:
bcdedit /set {current} locale en-US

Reboot, and see if it's back to normal. If it isn't, run this command (almost guaranteed to work):
Code:
bcdboot %WinDir% /l en-US

Actually this is normally do to a conflict with your GFX and boot. The boot animation checks to see if the GFX can render it and makes a decision. The resolution of the monitor also plays a part (I have had many who have told me that...)

Hopefully...but like my post above it could just be a conflict with the GFX and boot

Oh... Never heard of that before. Could be though! I just know that sometimes my W7 boot screen would be replaced by the Vista one, and doing one of those two commands would fix it.

The fact that it keeps changing is questionable to me...something is going on there...
