Alright, so I'm one of those geeks who uses their notebook as an alarm clock. Before I used WakeUp! Alarm Clock and that has served me well over the years.
After experiencing some issues getting it installed on Windows 7 I decided to seek out some Windows 7 compatible software. Sooo, I decided on the Yahoo Widget "Neon Clock": Neon Clock - Yahoo! Widgets .
Looks pretty, did the day of the week vs. weekends off scheduling thing, installed it, tested it, woke up this morning running late for work because it didn't go off. (My bad for not setting the clock forward and testing.)
So I decided to try out some other software. At the moment I'm testing Easy Wake Up Musical Alarm Clock: Easy Wake Up Musical Alarm Clock 2.2 Full Screenshot - Easy Wake Up Musical Alarm Clock 2.2 Demo . Same thing! It does not start when scheduled!
Both alarm clocks have test options in setup. Those work fine. So I decided to see if there were any tasks running in the task scheduler. For the Yahoo widget there isn't, but for the latter there are 5 entries--one for each scheduled day of the week. I'm suspecting something wrong with the task scheduler. It's odd that all manually installed applications relying upon scheduling a time in the future do not function correctly but function correctly when utilizing the test options.
The options in Task Scheduler appear to be set correctly and are set to run as the logged in user.
Any ideas?
