Windows 7 UAC

Hi! I have a certain application in Windows 7 that every time I open it, UAC comes up and asks if I want to allow it, and I choose yes.
Is there any way in Windows 7 to configure that only that certain application won't open UAC? I don't want to lower the whole UAC settings, only for that application.
Can you please help me?

let me say this

if your unwise enough to open an malicoius .EXE, your unwise enough to click "Yes" when UAC asks are you sure you want to run. UAC fails.

if your wise enough to install AV, which then will flag only malicious .EXE's, viruses, other nasty's, then your wise enough to be protected.
This way, safe programs like the one your trying to run wont be flagged unnecessarily.

IMO UAC off. Quality AV on.

I believe in the "Security" tab of "Properties" (right click the icon to see the menu) you can give the local 'user' full control 'permissions' and that will stop triggering the UAC for that app. (I am not absolutely sure on this point as you haven't indicated how old or what kind of app)

I think that the first day I started using the full released version of Win.7, I came across a control to allow a program to start without permission from the UAC pop-up. I used it for a 'Home grown' program called in the start-up sequence and that program's started properly at each start-up. Since then I have been unable to find the control. I had hoped that your post was the answer, sadly that's not the case. The permissions you mention are already ticked.

I have the same problem as Amitairos, it seems to me that once an installed program has been accepted, the UAC ought to remember it thereafter.

You cannot create an exception list for programs with UAC in Windows 7. However, you can create a elevated shortcut that will open the program without being bothered by UAC as a workaround.

As it happens, I discovered this work-round elsewhere, but at least I can confirm that it works for me.
