Hey there.

I'm new to the forums but I was hoping I could get an answer to a question that's been bugging me for a while. I just recently installed Windows 7, and since I'm a gamer I generally use a headset.

The set I have is an AXPC 7.1 surround headset with mic. It's a little on the older side but hasn't given me any problems. The sound works fine with the default driver that Windows installs but I can't get the mic to work. The company that makes the headset (Tritton) doesn't have Windows 7 drivers for the headset because its a legacy product now (they don't make it anymore).

So basically what I'm asking is, does anybody here know of a decent headset, wired or wireless, that is fully compatible with Windows 7?

dont give up on your current one yet. If you current headset has vista drivers they will work, if xp they may also work. You just need to install them in compatibility mode. Want to try them again?

Yeah I tried that, because I know it worked in Vista. Mic still doesn't work. But it at least installed the surround drivers. Those don't do me much good though if I don't have a mic.

Have you looked in the sound control panel to see if there is something configured wrong? If you could take a screenshot of the control panel and upload and we'll see if we cant fix this
