Hey everyone, I am back again with yet another problem, it's been a while now. So anyways, I re-installed windows and upgraded from Windows 7 Home edition to Windows 7 Ultimate Edition. I installed it and everything, then I activated the version of windows to the Full edition with the serial number. After all this I checked my internet and found its not connected. Well the reason for this is because apparently I have no drivers in my computer. When I go to install them, obviously I cannot because I do not even have the network or ethernet controller driver. Can anyone please help me with this issue? How would I go about installing the drivers properly? I cannot install them through a USB because I do not even have the USB driver installed, I need to get connection to the internet somehow and just update/install them with the built in feature. How would I do this?
Thanks so much, once again!

When you installed Windows 7 Ultimate did you do a clean install or an upgrade from within the desktop ? Also what is the model of your PC or motherboard ?

Custom ? What is the entire model ? How recent was this installation ? When you had installed Windows was there an Ethernet cable plugged into the Router for Internet connection ? Windows 7 should install drivers for the PC .

If you have an internet connection go the site of your Laptop manufacture. Once there enter the model number of the laptop then request driver (usually found in the web site's "Support Section"). There you should be able to find all the drivers for your model laptop. . .Good Luck.

So how do I install them? I am on my home PC right now, this question is regarding my Toshiba laptop. If I had internet on it, I wouldn't be asking this question.
Let me restate what I asked - I said that I don't have any drivers on my Toshiba laptop, I need to get them on there somehow. I am asking - how can I do this?

Can you burn drivers to a CD/DVD and read them on the laptop?

If you can't read ANY type of media on the laptop, here's some possibilities you could try:

1) Can you boot up a Windows DVD installation disc (or USB stick)?
- If so, create a slipstream Windows installation ISO that includes the drivers you need.
How to build a slipstream Windows 7 install disc | News | TechRadar
- Install Windows with the slipstreamed installer.

2) Do a Factory Recovery, assuming you still have that ability.
- Partition the HD so you have a "Data" partition that will not be used for future installations.
- Copy your drivers to that partition so they are available whenever you do a re-install/upgrade, etc.
- Do a clean Windows install with the latest ISO for your licensed version of Windows

Do you have the ability to burn a CD or DVD. If you do that is another direction you can take that is if your CD/DVD player is working.

Does your desktop machine have a CD writer? copy to cd and install from there. In order for you to either install or upgrade your laptop, the optical drive must have been functional, correct? This should work fine if you copy all the drivers to cd and install from there....
