Ok I restored an acronis image and something went wrong with the rights ( I dont have the old image so I need to solve it here, and reinstall is NO option)
I couldn't un-install a certain program saying I didn't have rights I fiddled around with the rights to the point I messed it up I think? I restored most of it to default I think (I looked at my 2nd pc's ntfs rights and copied it).
These are the problems:
1: I get lock icon on c:\programdata and when I add users it goes away but during applying half of the files say acces denied not sure if it matters?
I have also seen ACL corrupt errors in that folder and I tried running the command which I googled but the CMD told me i needed to use another command which is newer version or something anyway couldn't figure it out.
2: C:\recovery has lock icon, my 2nd pc doesn't have this. Well I can add users to it.. but my 2nd pc doesn't have user and no lock!! I want it like my 2nd pc.
I feel this might also be the problem why I can't use Universal Restore with Acronis since the image can't acces boot in the right way maybe..
3. Administrator account red cross, if I add administrator account to some folder it will have a red cross, I assume this isn't healthy!! how to solve this?
4.System volume information also has a lock icon, for same reasons as nr 2 I want to solve this.
I googled and found a certain command which supposeidly fix all security rights, I did this and looked at the log file, and I got acces denied -_- (log file included in attachments)
How can I fix all correct ntfs,security,ownerships and whatever to default ?
