Windows 7 Ultimate reinstallation problems

I was running windows 7 ultimate, computer froze up and the person who fixed it installed windows 8 Enterprise so I could try it out. When I tried to upgrade to windows 8.1 ran into problems and now windows won't load at all. I want to go back to windows 7 but have no install disc except for windows 7 starter and no product key. What kind of problems am I going to have in trying to do this? Is it even possible?

The present options for obtaining media are discussed in Step 1 Clean Reinstall Windows 7 along with everything that works best to get and keep a perfect install - which should then be preserved in a backup image so you never need to do one again.
