Hello all.
New to the forum but very grateful to have found it given my current dilemma.
In a late night session I managed to make a huge error and can no longer boot my OS.
I have 2 x 500gb HDD's installed. HDD A) is for misc files, music, pictures etc. HDD B) is for my OS. HDD B) initially had windows vista installed on it. About a month ago I partitioned it and installed windows 7 on a separate partition from Vista. Everything in 7 has been running fine so tonight I planned on formatting the Vista partition to free up space and given I no longer use vista.
After formatting however, I went ahead and restarted my computer, and could no longer boot into any OS at all. Boot menu brings up errors like no boot loader found etc.
I was fortunate that I had unallocated space on HDD B). I have just fresh installed win 7 onto a partition of it's own on HDD B). So now HDD B) has the original 7 install that won't boot as well as a new 7 install that boots fine.
Any suggestions on how I can recover the original 7 install?
Many TIA.
Michael
