I'm unable to do anything at that point, it just blinks. I can't even boot into safe mode now, the only think I'm able to get into is the Bios Setup Utility menus and Asus' express gate, which is just a media/internet/gaming/skype thing that doesn't allow .exe files to run...

This came factory installed so I don't have a windows 7 disc to help run fixes or anything. please, someone, help.

Go into the BIOS settings. go under the boot tab. Make sure you have your HDD selected for first boot.

Try putting in your windows installation disk and set the CD drive to boot first. If it boots, then there could be a problem with either your windows installation, or HDD.

Have you tried booting into safe mode?

None that I can think of right away. When you do have your windows installation, Try using it to repair your computer.

And np, I enjoy helping.

Hi digidestiny,

I am working on my friends laptop, has the exact same issue as you shown us.

The workaround as of now is to go into BIOS, press F9 (reset default), then press F10 (save changes and exit). That actually allowed it to boot into windows.

Our next steps we will be trying is reloading the OS, if that fails we will be trying another HDD.

I will update you on results.
