recently cleaned up tons of viruses on my moms laptop and now cant install service pack 1 or connect to things like windows fix it. I have tried the suggested actions. SFC scan now shows no corrupt files but still cant download service pack 1. still can't connect to certain antivirus sites. some microsoft pages dont load. but most other internet works

There's only one relatively minor error in your CheckSUR log -
Code:
Seconds executed: 420
 Found 1 errors
CBS MUM Missing Total count: 1
Unavailable repair files:
 servicing\packages\Package_for_KB977165_RTM~31bf3856ad364e35~x86~~6.1.2.0.mum
 servicing\packages\Package_for_KB977165_RTM~31bf3856ad364e35~x86~~6.1.2.0.cat

An earlier run of SFC shows the following error...
Code:
 Line 11022: 2015-06-30 17:07:33, Info CSI 0000053a [SR] Repairing 1 components
Line 11023: 2015-06-30 17:07:33, Info CSI 0000053b [SR] Beginning Verify and Repair transaction
Line 11026: 2015-06-30 17:07:33, Info CSI 0000053d [SR] Cannot repair member file [l:20{10}]"JNWDRV.dll" of Microsoft-Windows-TabletPC-JournalNoteWriter, Version = 6.1.7600.16988, pA = PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE_INTEL (0), Culture neutral, VersionScope = 1 nonSxS, PublicKeyToken = {l:8 b:31bf3856ad364e35}, Type neutral, TypeName neutral, PublicKey neutral in the store, hash mismatch

... but the last one is clear of errors, although it appears to be incomplete.

You have a very high number of POQs in the log - which may be the result of corruptions elsewhere.

I'll post a fix for the CheckSUR errors later, and we'll see what happens then.

I've uploaded a file - hp2aa.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive

Please download and save it.
Right-click on the downloaded file, and select Extract all…
Extract to the default location - which will create a new folder hp2aa in the same place.

Open this folder- there should be one folder inside it (Packages)

Copy the content of the Packages folder to the folder

C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages

Now run the CheckSUR tool again (it may take a while)

Post the new CheckSUR.log file, and the CheckSUR.persist.log file.
