I have genuine Windows 7 Ultimate CD with 32 and 64 bits.

Up until recently, I have had windows 7 64 bits installed on my laptop. I also had received the little Windows 10 update icon.

Because my laptop was very sluggish, almost a week ago, I re-installed windows 7 but this time with 32 bits and also of course SP1.

The little Windows 7 update icon has now disappeared.

Apparently I should have had KB3035583 update to receive this icon. So I managed to download and run it but unfortunately the sign of "The update is not applicable to your computer" comes up.

Any advice is more then appreciated. Thank you.

You need to ensure that you have all the other updates installed first - KB3035583 has a number of pre-requisites which must be installed first.

Thank you for your answer NoelDP.

As far as I am concerned I have installed all updates available. Apart from "Foreign Language" updates.

Windows update does not find any other updates to install.
