Have any of you guys running Windows 7 build 7000 received any updates for the OS? Will Microsoft make updates for the new builds (7022, 7032) or do we have to find another way to update our systems?

Hi,

As the Beta has been made public it is likely that the Release candidate is the next official release which will be made available - sources suggest April. this will be available in the same way as the beta.

it is not MS policy to include updates of this type in the windows update program.

Builds such as 7022 & 7025 were never intended for public release but have been made available through other non official channels, these therefor have no involvement with the MS public Beta program

Hi Dave,

Sorry if my post was a little confusing, I am also getting the security and defender updates. What I am not getting and have no expectation of getting is updates of 7000 to later builds (7022, 7025, etc) of the actual OS itself through WU

Yeah me too, I don't think Microsoft will release whole new Builds as updates but they will release minor updates and driver updates.

That is kinda a stupid, i mean why can't we get updates to new bulids. They actualy just fix a few thing like minor bugs and get the IE8 to RC version. It would be better to stay current with builds now, as time passes we will be old and not being able to get the updates until the RC of Windows 7. And there is much more time...

No, you get updates in the 7000 beta. These are some I've gotten. I had different ones before I did a repair install (such as driver updates too), they don't show now, most likely because the update history was cleared.
