Windows 7 USB HDD bootable

Hi,
I have been trying to use WD element 160GB as windows 7 Installer but its not booting i tried every possiblity, can anyone tell me the right procedure to doing this or is it some compatibilty issue.

I also try this on another wd passport drive and it worked fine.

External HD's will not always boot. Try running Setup from your current OS.

If you want to boot, burn ISO to DVD using Imgburn at 4x speed with Verify, or create a flash stick installer: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/2432-usb-windows-7-installation-key-drive-create.html
