Hi all
I have a weather station and it's base unit is sending info to the internet via the a USB port on the PC. The station is connected to the PC USB and is left running 24/7. The set-up seems to be able to pass data OK for a couple of days, then the USB link seems to stop functioning and the data stream is stopped. I have replaced the weather base station but the problem continues. I am just wondering if I have the PC set up right for 24/7 working? I have done the obvious such as altering the power management etc but wonder if I have missed something? Has anyone got an Idiot proof step by step guide as to what I need to check? Or is this a recognised Windows 7 problem re 24/7 USB working? Is there a Microsoft download to fix this problem?
