Windows 7 - Virtual PC - Instaling Ubuntu

Hello guys, i want create Virtual PC or server Ubuntu 10.04 on Windows7 i have software from Microsoft Virtual PC and i have one problem and it is when i press Install Ubuntu it close.I use ISO ubuntu-10.04-server-i386.iso my CPU is Intel E8400 my Motherboard MSI P35 Neo i have free 125gb on HDD

The problem is that Microsoft only supports Windows OSes for VirtualPC. You could use VirtualBox which I personally like better than VirtualPC. I have Ubuntu 10.04 and Ubuntu 9.1 running well in VirtualBox.

You could also use the free VMware Player. Both are good choices.

In vBox you can install directly from the .iso - works like a charm and is a lot faster than from CD.

That statement is true for any of the virtualization packages that I have ever used. Virtual PC, virtual box, VMWare Player, server, workstation, ESX, ESXi, etc.

Some of them (VirtualBox for sure) support floppy disk images as well. I installed MS-DOS and additional DOS based software onto a VB VM using images which is also much faster than using a real floppy.
