windows 7 wakes up from sleep after less than a minute

Suddenly my windows 7 desk top will not stay in sleep mode and awakes after less than a minute. Suggestions?

Thanks.....Im updating security essentials, which it has not been doing automatically. Is there an easy way to check and update other drivers and bios? A program?

I don't use MSE anymore in Win 7, but see this thread by Layback Bear:

I don't let any program auto update my drivers or bios, i do that manually if i run into a problem.

Right now KCSoftwares DUMo is free at:

I've never used it, free or paid.

I do use KCSoftwares SUMo free to check for program updates, and it never caused me any problems.
It finds more than any other update checker i've used, but there is a learning curve.

What is the word on the street about Windows10? They keep pushing me to upgrade....I am skeptical of products that have to be pushed hard.

imho, some people love it, some hate it, and probably every shade of gray in between.
