The drivers probably are fine and correct, you lack the proper software that's design to just take standalone video or pictures via webcam. Most manufacturers provide software that does this job, when you reinstall you probably lost this software program too. Either attempt to remember the name and download it, or go to Support and Downloads on the manufacturers website and usually in their download section they will have this software package/suite. Or find 3rd party program that does this job, 3rd party programs are usually just as good. Manufacturers just install their own software because they want customers to experience a working product right out of the box, they would not want to force their customers to go online and find a 3rd party program. Let's face it were lazy we want things to work right away and everything to work together in complete integration .
