cant seem to get rid of the welcome screen and allow my netbook to autologin

there is only one account on the system which is the administrator

i have checked in user accounts (control userpasswords2 or netplwiz) to make sure that the checkbox for the "users must enter a password to login@ is unchecked

also checked the various power settings to ensure that they dont request a password on resume and my screen saver is disabled

it all started since I updated the user account picture to my photo!

any help on this really appreciated (have been through this forum and yet unresolved and hence why this question....)

Thanks! (this is my first posting)

was there ever a second user account that wa';ps[] removed? or maybe the guest account was enabled then disabled? or the built in Super Admin?

This a clean install? Only user change was your user picture? how did you change it?

Another option is to create another acoount w the pic you want and tranfer the settings. then delete the weird one.

Just be sure to back up first

Missing User Icons

I changed my picture too, and all other user icons are now gone at login. The only one that remains is the last one. I want them all back and have tried everything. Can anyone help?
