I installed Windows 7 today, all installed good but then came the wireless (knew it would be a problem).

I connect my usb belkin adapter and then install the virgin wireless connection software and after install belkin wireless connection software so my computer can detect mu adapter.

The belkin software is completely blank (use compatibility on it before) and the virgin software searchs for the wireless adapter but can find it.

Someone help me out please

Hello and welcome.

Uninstall all that software. Make sure the driver for the adapter is still installed after. If not, use the device manager to install only the driver itself.

Type services.msc in the start menu search box. Hit enter. Look at WLAN Autoconfig and set it to automatic and start it too.

If you are not going to be using a wired connection, set Wired Autoconfig is disabled.

Install like this from the device manager:

Right click it. Update driver software. Browse my computer. Have disk. Let me pick. Browse. Now find and double click on the .inf.

Hit ok. Hit next and it should install.

Wireless cards always works better under windows default wireless network settings rather than relying on the softwares of the card manufacturers. Try uninstalling the software and install the device driver with the .inf file from the device manager is a great idea to solve this type of problems :)
