Hi, and help please! I am having problems connecting to wifi when abroad I have been using Vista on my laptop and last year there was not a problem but this year I was in France for 7 weeks and nearly evertime I tried to connect (using the appropriate password and getting full strenth wifi it would not connect, it kept stating that it was identifying and would not connect, so I would try fiddling about with various settings and sometimes it would connect. There was times when I could not get on and the people all around were connected.

So fed up with this happening all the time I bought a new notebook and was in Spain last week and I still could not get connected with all the same things happening as with my old laptop.

I have included the details of the new notebook, I am not very computer educated so if you could please go easy on me with computer jargon (sorry)

Welcome to Seven forums graemejack4.
You should update with Win 7 SP1 first of all. Go to Control Panel/Device Manager, go to Network Adapters. Right click on each one you have and select Update Driver.
I'm not familiar with European WiFi, does it use a different protocol there?
