Windows 7 will not boot upon startup

Solved How to redownload your Windows 8 Upgrade setup D/L.

Than make the ISO, & burn to DVD or USB pendrive.
Create Bootable USB or DVD with Windows 8 ISO




Try a upgrade install from the DVD:
Upgrade Install from Windows 7 or Vista to Windows 8
or
Try a clean install.

I have followed everyones directions explicitly. I did not however, bother to create a partition after the hdd finished cleaning.

I went to install windows 7 and after the 'completing setup' phase, the.computer screen went to a black screen with moveable mouse.

I shot a few video clips of the entire procedure, i am uploading them to youtube now, it will take a while. I will reply with links to them

Any other suggestions?

I would download and make this Partition Wizard Boot CD to do all your partitioning b4 you install the OS.

1) Download the iso from here: Partition Wizard Bootable CD allows user to manage partition directly with partition manager bootable CD.

2) Burn it to a cd using Imgburn: ImgBurn - CNET Download.com

3) Drop it in the tray and restart the pc.

4) Boot from the cd

5) Create your partitions with it.

There are videos at the site on how to use it. It is a great tool.

After that install windows on the partition you created for it.

Also, read Greg`s tutorials, they are flawless.

Where did you get Win7? Did you burn the DVD yourself? How?

Did you wipe the HD with Diskpart Clean Command?

Reset the BIOS to defaults: Clear CMOS - 3 Ways to Clear the CMOS - Reset BIOS
Set SATA controller to AHCI to try install.

If this fails, format an active partition following step 2.2 in SSD - HDD Optimize for Windows Reinstallation

The disk is a genuine copy Microsoft Windows 7 disk

Where did you get Win7? Did you burn the DVD yourself? How?
