Windows 7 will not install

I have my computer set to load from cd first and i put the disk in but as soon as it begins loading it stops and the windows boot loader tells me that it cannot communicate with my removable storage because it was removed improperly. well i formatted the drive and ejected it proper, since vista has a thing about just letting you eject a drive with something on it, and i am still getting the same message. can someone help me out? what am i doing wrong? i just cant seem to ever get past that screen.

Try reseating your DVD drive. See if that helps!

thank you for the reply. i just tried that and it still gave me the same screen. then i tried reseting my usb drives and got the same result. anything else i can try? (im sure formatting the drive would get me past this, but im hoping to avoid that since vista came preinstalled on my pc and i have no backup currently.)
