Windows 7 & Windows 8 on different HDD

Hey all.

Here's the problem:

Is there a way to install Windows 7 & Windows 8 on different HDDs and then add them to 1 boot list (I have Windows 7 & Ubuntu on 1 HDD Boot list and Windows 8 on another, and I want to add tha Windows 8 to primary HDD boot list while keeping Windows itself on secondary HDD)

If you have separate HD's then unplug the existing OS HD, set target HD first HD to boot in BIOS setup, install other OS.

After install plug back in original OS HD, set preferred one first to boot in BIOS setup (after DVD drive), boot the other HD when needed using BIOS one-time Boot Menu key given on first boot screen.

This keeps the HD's independent to come and go as you please, whereas configuring a Windows Boot Menu interlocks them requiring surgery to remove one later.
