Hello

I'm stopping by to do a last chance on getting windows update to work, after 10 hours of trying to find out the problem i'm almost given up all hope.

This is a fresh install of windows after buying a new computer, I ran windows update several times and it worked but somewhere after service pack 1 things stopped working for some reason.

I'm also running Windows Securtity Essential and i can not update that neither.

I ran SFC Scan
Code:
C:\Windows\system32>sfc /scannow

Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.

Beginning verification phase of system scan.
Verification 100% complete.

Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

Code:
I tried to run the program "Portable Update" and after downloading wsusscn2.cab i got it working to run and after clicking search for updates i get this error.
[CODE]Search not complete: WU_E_PT_SOAPCLIENT_CONNECT: SOAPCLIENT_CONNECT_ERROR - SOAP client failed to connect to the server.

Please help me

Best Regards
John

Note: I am not a professional on Windows Update problems but the following is to help those who are pros of this topic find a solution for your issue. Please run SURT in the posting instructions for Windows Update issues: http://www.sevenforums.com/windows-updates-activation/264840-windows-update-posting-instructions.html It may show something that was not found in the other scans.

Thanks for taking the time!

I downloaded

Windows6.1-KB947821-v33-x64.msu

This is the 64 bit version because i have a 64 bit windows installed, i run it and i get error "Installer encountered an error: 0x8007000d"

Hrm okay? lets try the 32 bit version

Windows6.1-KB947821-v33-x86.msu

And i get a message saying "The update is not applicable to your computer"

What the hell is going on? :)

Okay so i managed to redownload the System Update Readiness Tool and ran it.

Code:
Do you want to install the following windows software update?

Hotfix for windows (KB947821)

and i clicked yes

Then after awhile it successfully installed.

But i'm still getting same error :(

I am sorry, but you will have to patiently wait for another person as I do not know too much about these errors. Hope you fix your problem.

There's no errors in the CheckSUR log, and nothing in the CBS.log either.
Please upload a couple of the CBSPersist logs, and also the C:\Windows\windowsupdate.log
