I have Windows 7installed on one drive and Windows Vista on another drive. When I boot up the computer it goes directly to Windows 7. It recognizes the second hard drive in Windows Explorer but it doesn't give me a choice as to which operating system to run from. New computing appreciate any help.
Thanks in advance

Did you have both drives installed when you installed each OS?
Or did you do each install with the other drive disconnected?

Hello again James.

When you first boot/start the PC start tapping the Dell one-time boot menu hot-key to select to boot the other Hard Disk Drive, it is the F12 key specific to Dell PCs.

If that doesn't work post a snip of Windows 7 disk management.

In the Windows start menu right click computer and click manage, in the left pane of the "Computer Management" window that opens click disk management and post a maximized snip of that.

There is an automatic dual-boot repair tool for Windows XP/Vista/7.

Its main purpose is to repair a dual-boot system in the case you install an earlier Windows version when already having a later one - for example you install XP after Windows 7 or Vista after Windows 7 or XP after Vista.

The latest boot environment (from latest Windows version) has to be the base in a dual-triple-boot system. The tool repairs the computer to boot to the latest OS just on one click. :D

Later when booted to latest Windows 7/Vista missing boot choices can be added easy.

The tool - "Dual-boot Repair" is part of Visual BCD Editor package (ver. 0.9.1)
Download from: BCD Editor - Windows 7 / Vista
