I have one PC with Windows 7 Pro 64 bit and two PCs with Windows XP Pro. The Windows XP PCs are almost identical except for the anit-virus. Both have Norton. One works fine, the other cannot get to live update. There is also a shared printer connected to the Windows 7 PC.

The Windows 7 PC can access all the files on both Windows XP PCs. The first Windows XP PC can access all the files on the other two and the printer on Windows 7. The second Windows XP PC can access the files on the first Windows XP PC, but not the Windows 7 PC. It can access the printer on the Windows 7 PC.

The second windows XP PC can see the Windows 7 PC when I click on "View workgroup computers" in My Computer. Then when I click on the Windows 7 PC icon, it can see the different shared folders. But when I click on any of the shared folders I get an Access is denied message. The same thing happens when I try to map to the folder in Windows Explorer. I can see it, but am denied access.

Any ideas? I followed the same steps in setting up sharing for both Windows XP PCs.

Thanks for any ideas you have.
