Windows 7 wont boot

Hey, im new here, and i really hope that you can help me with my problem.
So, i've been using W7 for a few months, and i decided to install XP on another HDD, which is completely empty. It all went well, except fot the dualboot thing, cause i can only boot XP. I've tried changing the boot sequence, and still only XP boots.
What can i do to make W7 boot again?

It seems you overwrote the Win 7 boot files. You might do a start-up repair of win 7 then use EasyBCD to set up the dual boot, unless you want to use bcdedit to set it up, which is a command line utility.

If you do not know how to do a start-up repair, boot to the win 7 DVD. Select your language, and on the next window, select repair, not install. Then do a startup repair.

The Win 7 drive needs to be the primary drive, or first in the disk priority in the bios.

Okay, so i've managed to boot W7 using the installation DVD. In a few minutes i'll try EasyBCD to set up the dual boot. I'll edit if something goes wrong, or i manage to do it right. Thanks.

I really have no idea how to use EasyBCD. Tried adding a Win XP entry, but when i restarted XP didnt boot because it said that ntldr is missing... Help please.

Well, I assume you can now boot normally into Win 7.

You have downloaded EasyBCD version 2?

If you look at the View settings button, it will show the bcd store, or the boot menu basically. You should have an entry for Windows 7.

You need to add an entry for XP, which you do by the add/remove entries button. Select the Windows tab then NT/2k/XP/2k3 from the dropdown list. Then Add Entry. If it asks to add files, let it do that. This adds three files into the boot area and modifies the boot.ini to see the XP install.

Now the View Settings window should have an entry for ntldr or possibly a number.

You should be done. If it still doesn't work, post back attachments of the snipping tool picture of the disk management window, the boot.ini file and a copy of an administrative command prompt window after typing bcdedit. This can all be done with one attachment if you work it right .
