Hello all,
I have an iMac from late 2009 or so that I have Windows 7 Professional SP1 running on. It's a fresh install from the DVD I have and genuine. However, Windows Update will not update. Upon checking for updates, Windows Update sits there and says it's checking for updates. Yesterday, I let it sit there for 2 hours "Checking for updates" but that's all it does. I did find instructions on another thread on this forum that included batch files and a fixit tool to fix registration and component issues. I have ran these files and the fixit tool claims it fixed a variety of issues but there still aren't any updates coming in.
I had this issue happen one other time on a PC and those batch files and fixit tools did the trick! Doesn't seem like it's working in this situation however.
