Windows 7 x64 Home Edition Installation Problems

I recently bought an HP computer at Best Buy around Christmas, and it came with Windows 7 Home Edition x64. Recently, it was refusing to boot, so I used the system restore option to go back to a restore point. After it finished, I rebooted, and was greeted with the same screen, saying that I Windows could not boot.
Eventually, I did a full Factory Reset, and the system tried reinstalling Windows 7. As I booted into it, it seemed as though it would boot, but it gave me an error window, and said that Windows could not install, and to reboot to continue the installation. Every time I reboot, it gives me the same screen. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated, and if any other information is needed, I would be glad to get it. Thank you.

Are you tapping the F11 key at bootup to trigger Factory Recovery as described under section titled Restore the PC to its original condition using the f11 key if Windows 7 is not accessible here: Recover Windows 7 Operating System Using HP Recovery - HP technical support (United Kingdom - English)

Did you make the Recovery Disk set so you can boot those if the F11 Recovery Partition will not run?

Since you're under full warranty with tech support for a year, I would call HP Tech Support and have them verify the problem and RMA the machine or send you the Recovery Disk set then walk you through reinstall.

If you have no other options, here's some interesting info you may find useful and be sure to post back with any further questions you may have and to keep us informed.

After you have copied out or made back-ups of the data you need to save; if you can find an exact Windows version that the PC shipped with you can do a clean install using the activation key on the COA sticker attached to the PC though it may require a robo-call to MS to sort the OEM batch-key.

If you can't find an exact same version, you could use the info in this tutorial to create an "all Versions" installer of any version Windows installer, to install using the same method I posted above.

After you have made backups of everything you care to save, the best method is to do a complete wipe (secure erase) of the entire Hard Disk Drive first, it over-writes everything, all the old Windows code including all the old drivers/programs, giving you the best possible space to install Windows to.
