Ok I've spent hours configuring options in the power management options , I've tried sytem restore to the earliest possible time , I've turnt of and disabled wake by and suspend selective USB devices . I've used CCleaner and fixed registry issuers . Iv'e disabled start up programs such as Utorrent .

I am now out of Idea's and Have not found much other advice on the internet , my Laptop computer still does not sleep automatically, on a timer . Whichever time I use the computer stays awake regardless . I can however manually put the laptop to sleep , by clicking on the sleep icon and by selecting sleep by closing the lid

I would like the laptop computer to sleep when I forget to turn it off. It just stays awake for hour on end

Any suggestions ?

Would be appreciated , hearing from you

Regards
