windows 7 x64 - problems with gaming

Hallo everyone,

I have windows 7 for some weeks and everything works perfect, except gaming. For example Css (cs-source) isn't running smooth, laggs (but, I have 100-150fps and ~10 ping). New Vegas is laggy, MOH too, Cod black ops lags are bigger. And I can't do anything - i can set up lower, higher graphics - it's the same.

I have newest graphic, sound drivers. Newest directx. I tried everything - turned off indexing, system restore, superfetch, evenl logger, game booster.

I had similar problems then i have tried vista x64. But with vista x86 - no problems.

What I shoeld do? Any ideas?

My system: amd x2 6000, 4gb ram, ati 4870, mb with 790 chip.

Might be networking. Download and run DPC Latency Checker to check y our latency

most of the fixes you are going to get suggested are compiled here in one handy post: Tips on Troubleshooting Game Issues so I suggest reading that thread and also a forum search should give you some helpful info since this subject has been discussed before

yes, maybe one week ago, I said - i had tried almost everything (everything that i know)

i used windows 7 x64 drivers, newest 10.30 or 10.31 release ( i don't remember now exactly).

My card is 4870 - ok, it's not a super new and powerfull card - but I shouldn't have problems like this.

My card is 4870 - ok, it's not a super new and powerfull card - but I shouldn't have problems like this.

latest WHQL Catalyst drivers are 10.11 released on 11/17 and I guess by latest DirectX you mean you have downloaded the latest runtimes available that those games you list as having problems with use to function properly

yes - latest runtimes available

10.30 - it was date, when those drivers were putted not driver version
